Thirty-seven deaths were associated with Covid 19 infection.
The 25,972 new infections reported Saturday by the Interior and Health ministries are below the average of the past seven days (26,462) and slightly lower than the numbers a week ago (26,282). There were 37 Corona-related deaths and slight decreases in hospital numbers in return. The seven-day incidence was 2073.7 cases. There were 275,874 active cases in Austria, down 4,869 from the previous day.
Since the pandemic’s beginning, there have been 2,636,258 confirmed cases in Austria. Recovered patients number 2,345,622, with 30,804 within the past 24 hours. The 37 deaths are well above the seven-day average of 28.6. A total of 14,762 people in Austria have died from or with Covid-19.
There are currently 2,412 people in the hospital, down 66 from the last time. One hundred ninety people (down three) of these are being cared for in intensive care units.
916,934 tests were reported in the past 24 hours, of which 764,609 were conclusive PCR tests. Their positive rate was 3.4 percent.
Seven thousand two hundred thirty-five vaccinations were administered Friday. According to the E-vaccine passport data, a total of 6,796,568 people have already received at least one vaccination. 6,244,931 people, or 69.9 percent of Austrians, have valid vaccination protection.
